February 10, 2013:
Today ushers in Chinese (or Lunar) New Year. 2013 is the Year of the Snake. People born in the year of the snake are complex beings. They are clever and men of few words. Now that explains a lot!
Chris is a snake, so this is his year. After all, his motto is “I am lucky!” But as luck would have it, he missed out seeing the yacht club’s celebration last night for Chinese New Year. They brought in a troupe that put on a great show for the guests and staff. Now you all can enjoy it too. I certainly did!
Hi Sandra and Chris!
i am loving your blogs – sounds like you are really loving your new lifestyle. i too am born in the year of snake (65). Let’s hope it’s everything they say its going to be for us! 🙂
everything is going well back here – i (and unit 31 Brentwood Bay) attended a SAREX with Parksville, Pender, Ganges and the CCG Cape Naden off Saltspring Island in Jan was a great experiance. 4 31 crew including myself and members of Sidney (incl. Michelle Dolan), Pender, Saltspring and Sooke just completed our Marine Advanced First Aid which also makes us fully qualified EMS First Responders!
keep up the blogs!
Cheers
Randy Taylor
Congratulations Randy (and to Michele too). That’s a great accomplishment. I miss the SAR community. Thanks for keeping us posted!
